NAME Scholarship Program
NAME Scholarship Program
The Deadline for the NAME Scholarship for NAME National 2025 to be held at Cincinnati, OH is October 31, 2024.
The NAME JFS Scholarship Program was established in 2022/23 through the generosity of Jean and Fred Scribner to encourage dedicated miniaturists who were unable to participate in the organization’s National Convention and Houseparty events due to financial hardship. The goal of the Scholarship Program is to support the mission of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts to promote miniatures through education, collecting, and building friendships and skills through the sharing of experience and ideas.
NAME’s JFS Scholarship program was very successful for the 2023 and 2024 National Convention. With that being said, it is that time again. Scholarships are open for the 2025 National convention where we are looking to give out two scholarships this year. We are looking for people who have never been to a Convention or Houseparty before. Even if the person is not a NAME member, the scholarship includes a one-year membership to NAME.
The NAME scholarship gives each recipient $1000 towards:
- the registration fee,
- a one-year membership,
- one guaranteed workshop of their choice, and
- the remainder going to hotel and/or travel expenses.
If you applied for the scholarship before but not selected, and have not attended a Convention, you can re-apply.. Deadline to apply is October 31, 2024 for the 2025 National Convention.
- Applicants must be at least 25 years of age.
- Applicants do not need to be a current member of NAME. One year membership in NAME is included in the Scholarship.
- Applicants may not be a member or family member of the NAME Board of Trustees, the Event Committee or an employee of NAME.
- Applicants must be verified first time attendees at a Convention or Houseparty.
- Applicants may only receive a NAME Scholarship once.
