The
Americana Spirit in ¼" scale. Build this Pick-A-Corner
Display and fill it with a boat bookcase, chair, checkerboard coffee table and
Americana theme chest. Everything is included in the workshop to complete
the display as shown - right down to the candlesticks and bowl and the artwork
on the walls. |

Dove Point Cottage This
workshop is a lovely ¼" scale Victorian Cottage designed
in the traditional fantasyland architectural style typical of those found
at Martha’s Vineyard. The
covered wrap-around porch with its stylish railing, gingerbread trim and the
icicle roof trim enhance the ambiance of the New England island charm of this
structure. The laser cut kit comes complete with everything you need including
roof shingles, windows, doors, porch flooring and all exterior gingerbread trim
and railings. The only items the student should provide are paint, glue
and the dream. |

We
all need a hideaway and the First Lady is no exception. This
quarter inch scale vignette is just the place. Class participants
will decorate the inside and outside of the room box, build and decorate
the frame, electrify the ceiling, apply carpeting and install the ready
made furniture. Class includes
the framed room box, transformer, lead-in wire, wicker and wood furnishings,
plants and lots of fun! Take it home in its own box. |
||
The
White House State Dining Room is the inspiration for this room box
which displays elaborate moldings, columns, fireplace and mantel. Students
will finish the pre-built wall and finish the room box with glass sides which
will surround the wall. Upon completion of the class, students can use
their imaginations to furnish the room as a dining room or as any elegant room. |
||
This
half inch scale love seat, chair and table can be placed in a living
room or bedroom. Students will work with cotton fabrics in their
choice of color to assemble the furniture. Students will also complete
a skirted table with a non working lamp as part of the class. |

This elegant lady
is my rendition of a copy of an 1876 Godey Lady Fashion Plate. Her
evening dress is of pink and white silk. The
lower half of the front of the skirt is ruched and then draped with
an apron trimmed in lace and edged in tiny pink and white flowers. Her
bodice has a low neckline adorned with lace and finished off with
garlands of roses. The train is completed with a pink ribbon
sash. |

Fabric Store in NYC This
1/144th building is inspired (with permission) by the NYC designer fabric
store, Rosen & Chadick. Many of the fabrics you will
use are fine silks from the actual store! Students will construct
and paint the store, assemble store furnishings and first floor window
displays, light the first floor displays with LEDs, and make as many
fabric bolts to install in shelves as time allows. Materials for
everything in the picture will be provided. No
1/144th scale experience is necessary. Lighting and magnification suitable
to working in 1/144th scale would be helpful. Project requires typical
tools/supplies and a list will be sent to pre-registered students. |

Betsy Ross House In
1777 George Washington visited Betsy Ross in her upholstery shop
in Philadelphia and asked her if she could make a flag. Build
this reproduction of the Betsy Ross House – the place where
she lived and where she made the first American Flag. This
reproduction is made of cast brick. The interior contains three
rooms – the first floor room was used as a workroom and showroom
while the business owner and her family lived in the rest of the
house. |
